FAQs Minimize
Is paintball a safe activity?

Yes! Paintball is statistically safer than many other outdoor pursuits, such as golfing, boating or bowling! This is based on all injuries requiring medical attention or causing at least one lost day of work. (Source: SGMA International)

What is Paintball?

In a nutshell, paintball is hide and seek in the woods. Unlike hide and seek, when you find an opponent or when they find you, paintball guns are used to eliminate the other players.

What is a paintball?

A paintball is a small gelatin capsule the size of a quarter that is filled with non-toxic, bio-degradable paint fill. They are similar to vitamin capsules or bath beads. The fill rinses off clothing, skin and structures with a rinse of water and does not permanently stain.

What should I wear?

While renters are supplied with combat pants and jackets (only until Oct. 15th), it is highly recommend that you wear supportive footwear as you will be traveling over a variety of terrain during the course of the day. High top running shoes or hiking boots are the best choice.
If the weather is cool or if it is raining, we recommend bringing a pair of gloves.
Worried about getting paint in your hair? Bring a ball cap that you can wear backwards, or a bandanna to cover your hair.

What extra things should I bring?

Those that are sensitive to bug bites may want to bring insect repellent, as you will be playing in the woods.
Lunch (Full day only) and bottled water is supplied. Refreshments and snacks are sold onsite. However, if you have special dietary considerations you may want to bring your own lunch or snacks.

Does getting shot with a paintball hurt?

It only hurts your pride. The excitement of playing paintball raises your adrenaline levels, so when you are hit, what you usually notice first is the disappointment of being taken out of the game. To be specific, however, being hit by a paintball is similar to being snapped by a rubber band. Its not so much pain, but rather an annoying announcement that your game is over.

What kind of safety precautions do you take?

Your safety is paramount. Renters are supplied with paintball masks that exceed industry standards for protection. They protect your eyes and the sensitive parts of your face.
The safe areas are surrounded by paintball netting which stops paintballs without causing them to break. You can safely observe a game behind the netting while waiting for the next game to start.
All paintball guns are checked to ensure that they shooting below 285 feet per second. Spot checks continue throughout the day.
